The Director of Neighbourhood and Environmental Services submits a report for an application for a new premises licence for Spice Fusion Restaurant, 26 Melton Road, Leicester. Additional documents:
Minutes: The applicant Mr Arvind Faquir and his representative Mr Anil Bhawsar, agent from Licensing Hub, were in attendance. Also in attendance were PC Gary Roberts and PC Kim Thomas, Leicestershire Police. Also present were the Licensing Enforcement Officer and the Legal Adviser to the Sub-Committee.
Mr Bhawsar on behalf of Mr Faquir applied to adjourn the hearing. Mr Bhawsar explained that he needed time in order to provide evidence and information relating the legal basis on which the application was being made. His client needed time to obtain information evidencing that he was ‘a person proposing to carry on a business which involves the use of the premises for the licensable activities to which the application relates’.
The committee considered their powers under the Licensing Act 2003 (Hearing Regulations) 2005 and concluded it was necessary to adjourn the hearing to 8th September 2025, 10:00am. |
