To approve capital funding for additional school places for 2017/18 and 2018/19 academic years.

To release funding totalling £11,498,016 from the capital programme as itemised in report.

Under the provisions contained in Procedure Rule13 (2) of Part 4b of the Council’s constitution, the key decision is to be taken as urgent to allow appointment of contractors to proceed with works required to accommodate pupils from the start of the 2017/18 school year.

To provide interim expansion accommodation to support pupil intake, over and above existing school capacity for 2017 and 2018 academic years.

To provide additional accommodation at the Carisbrooke site of the Leicester Partnership School, enabling the Braunstone Skills Centre to be used to provide an additional 100 school places from September 2017.
