To approve a number of interrelated projects which will enable the Council to bring forward the first phase of the Waterside Regeneration. This will involve adopting planning policy for the area, the submission of an outline planning application, pursuing a land acquisition strategy, including the possible use of compulsory purchase powers, enabling further development to be brought forward at the Friars Mill site and the delivery of specific development and infrastructure projects. Funding to be provided through Government Local Growth Funds and Economic Action Plan funds.
