Decision details

To accept funding from the Community Renewal Fund (CRF) supporting 5 projects within the city of Leicester to help build skills, support local businesses and communities and provide employment support.

Accept the Community Renewal Fund award of £2.9m and agree for the City Council to act as accountable body.

This programme of 5 projects across Leicester will support business, employment and skills activities across a range of areas which will support both Leicester Small to Medium Sized Enterprises but also Local residents.

To do nothing, would limit the support available to businesses and residents to grow, develop and gain new skills which in turn will increase employment and jobs supporting Leicester’s economy.
