To note the consultation feedback on the draft Leicester Cycle City Action Plan and the council’s responses.
To approve the Leicester Cycle City Action Plan 2015 to 2024 including amendments
To call on partnership organisations to support the Council in the delivery of the Action Plan.
Reasons for the decision:
This decision is approving the adoption of the Leicester Cycle City Action Plan 2015 to 2024 following a consultation exercise on a draft plan.
The Plan will help prioritise actions to meet local and Government Cycling Delivery Plan targets to increase cycling numbers with new cycle tracks along main roads, safer cycling in neighbourhoods, and more mainstream cycle training, promotions and engagement.
Alternative options:
The Action Plan is a balanced package of projects, events and initiatives determined through engagement and consultation exercises. Options for specific projects and events will be considered through their development.
