Purpose:
To approve capital funding for additional school places for 2017/18 and 2018/19 academic years.
Decision:
The release of funding totalling £1.054m from the capital programme policy provision as set out in report.
Reasons for the decision:
To provide permanent expansion to support pupil intake, over and above existing school capacity from 2018 to 2021 academic years.
To move forward the design development to support the permanent expansion works, the following is required:
· To enter into a Pre-construction Services Agreement (PCSA) with the Contractor to continue design development for the expansion of the four Non-PFI secondary schools
· To work with the Contractor to identify a Modular Construction solution
· Submit applications for Planning Permission
