To approve funding totalling £2.064m from the capital programme policy provision relating to Phase 1 of the SEND Strategy and to continue planning the requirements for Phase 2 of the SEND Strategy.

1.      To approve funding totalling £2.064m from the capital programme policy provision as set out in report. This relates to Phase 1 of the SEND Strategy.

2.      To continue planning the requirements for Phase 2 of the SEND Strategy

1.    It has been identified that 60 SEND places are required or will be required by 2018/19 across all types of need.

This decision enables works to be undertaken to provide the required places at a number of Schools under Phase 1 of the SEND Strategy.

2.    A further 230 additional SEND places are required across the city after 2018/19, which will be addressed under Phase 2 of the SEND Strategy.
