The Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 25 Janyary 2006 have been circulated and the Committee is asked to confirm them as a correct record for signature by the Chair.

It was noted that Councillor Coley was included in the list of Members present but that he was in fact not at the meeting.

RESOLVED:

that the Minutes of the meeting held on 25 January 2006, copies of which had been circulated to Members, be taken as read, and signed by the Chair as a correct record, subject to the amendment detailed above.

The Town Clerk submits a report which gives details of complaints lodged against Elected Members since the process of lodging complaints with the Standards Board for England was established and identifies issues of concern, lessons learned and actions to be taken to further improve Member standards of conduct and probity.  The Committee is recommended to support each of the Action Plans detailed in the report.

The Town Clerk submitted a report which reviewed the complaints lodged against Elected Members since the process of lodging such complaints with the Standards Board for England was established and also those Member conduct issues of concern which had been indentified within the Authority. The report consider both lessons learned and actions taken to further improve Members standards of conduct and probity.

RESOLVED:

(1)that the action plan detailed in the report be supported; and

(2)that information on 'immigration' casework be included in Members' surgery pack.
