The Chair will introduce those present and make any necessary announcements.

The Chair and any other Councillors who are present will make any declarations as required by the Councillors’ Code of Conduct.

The minutes of the Thurncourt Community Meeting held on 15 July 2013 are attached and Members are asked to confirm them as a correct record.

An update will be given on progress with the UK City of Culture bid, along with details of how residents and groups can be involved.

Philip Parkinson, Chair of the Interim Healthwatch Leicester, will be at the meeting to explain the current arrangements for Healthwatch in the City and to seek residents’ views on how Healthwatch can develop.

A representative from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (Major Crime) will be at the meeting to talk about the work of the unit.

Officers from Leicestershire Police will be at the meeting to provide an update on police issues in Thurncourt Ward.

The City Warden will give an update on issues in the Westcotes Ward.

Highways officers will give an update on highways issues in the Ward.

Housing officers will give an update on housing issues in the Ward.

Councillors are reminded that under the Council’s Code of Conduct they should declare any interest they may have in budget applications

a)     An update will be given on the Ward Community budget; and

b)     A list of grant applications submitted for consideration at this meeting is attached.
