WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillors Deepak Bajaj and Deepak Singh will provide an update on the issues they have been dealing with as Councillors for the Evington Ward.

PROPOSED CHANGES TO LEICESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY A & E DEPARTMENT

There will be an update on the proposed changes to Leicester Royal Infirmary A & E Department and the transfer of services to the General Hospital and the impact and benefits to residents in Evington.

HEALTHWATCH

The meeting will receive an update on the service that Healthwatch provide.

COMMUNITY GROUPS - FEEDBACK AND UPDATES

There will be an opportunity for members of local community groups to feedback on their events and local issues.

HOUSING UPDATE

A Leicester City Council housing officer will provide an update on local housing issues.

LOCAL POLICING UPDATE

Officers from the Local Policing Unit will be at the meeting to provide an update on police issues in Evington Ward.

CITY WARDEN

The City Warden will give an update on issues in the Evington Ward.

WARD COMMUNITY BUDGET 2013/14

Councillors are reminded that under the Council’s Code of Conduct they should declare any interest they may have in budget applications

 

The meeting will receive an update on the community meeting budget.  The following funding applications have been received:

 

1.       3011 – Ellwood Close Diwali Festival Lights – Street Party

£500 Harshad Sloanki.

 

2.       3012 – Development of Evington Park House Neighbourhood Centre

£1,000 Friend of Evington / Helen Pettman.

 

3.       3013 – Environmental Enhancements at St. Pauls Catholic School.

£500 Neil Lockyer, head Teacher at  St. Pauls / ‘Eco Roc’.

 

4.       3014 – Christmas Get Together for Evington Senior Citizens Monday Club.

£500 Evington Senior Citizens Monday Club.

 

5.       3015 – Girls Only Night

£500 Pauline O’Brien – Evington Youth Club.
