TERMS OF REFERENCE

SCRUTINY COMMITTEE: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING

The committee will focus on the scrutiny of regeneration and economic development in the city, including the Council’s functions in these respects and the LRC Masterplan.  It will look at both physical and social regeneration. 

The Committee will scrutinise:

§         Policies to ensure strategic planning, management and programming for    regeneration and redevelopment

§         Measures to increase and promote social regeneration

§         Strategy and delivery for City centre development

§         Matters relating to Economic development

§         Policies on European and international issues  

§         Policy and performance issues relating to Development Control
