Current ePetitions

An ePetition is a petition which collects signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a potentially much wider audience than a traditional paper based petition.

To submit or sign an e-petition which is being submitted to the City Council, you are required to live, work or study in the city of Leicester. Therefore if you are not a resident in the city, please put the name and address of your workplace or educational establishment to enable your signature to be counted.

Please note that there is a limit of no longer than 6 months that an e-petition can be 'live' to accept signatures.

Please follow this link for further guidance on how the Council deals with petitions - the Council's Petition Scheme.

Please note you must have your own e-mail address in order to sign an e-petition, and this address can only be used once. You may wish to obtain an additional free e-mail address to enable yourself to register for and sign e-petitions. These can be easily obtained by doing a search for 'free email address' in any search engine.

If, for any reason, such as IT access problems, you are unable to sign the ePetition online, you can contact us in the following ways, with your details and the petition you wish to support and we can add these to the electronic total.
